Team Openings.

I am currently looking to add some extra hands to the NRP team and am looking for the right people!
I am looking for a Photo Assistant (to go on shoots) and an In-Studio Production Assistant to help out with the administrative/production side of the things (going on shoots not required). Internships are also available for students.
Nicole Raine Photography, established in 2005, is a busy and growing studio with a loyal clientele. NRP’s focus is on lifestyle photography on location, and the creation of custom, high-end, heirloom art pieces. NRP primarily caters to individuals and small business, but also takes the occasional larger commercial project. NRP has a variety of clients worldwide.

From all applicants, I’m looking for :

-Someone to start in April 2012.
-A minimum commitment of 6 months (interns may apply by quarter/semester/term).
-Someone reliable, punctual, and responsive.
-A good organizational sense.
-A strong attention to detail.
-Great personality for client side interactions.
-Must be a self starter and able to problem solve.
-Will be versatile and able to handle all of the little things in order to minimize distractions to the photographer.
-*Bonus* will enjoy an eclectic musical sampling, like Eddie Izzard, and have a sense of humour.

Studio Assistant

-In studio administrative tasks and client side interactions, including bookings and customer service.
-Must display excellent phone and written communication skills, and professional representation for the studio.

Location Photo/Production Assistant

-Will aid with equipment, lighting, and grip on location and in studio. Travel required.

Image Editing & Production Assistant

-Will aid with image editing and retouching, as well as product production and album design.

Intern

-May apply for any of the positions listed for training and college credit with the possibility of hire on completion of internship.

Training for, and position growth opportunities.

-Image editing and preparation in Adobe Creative Suite (CS5/CS6 here).
-Image editing and navigation in Adobe Lightroom (LR3/4).
-Motion capture and editing.
-Would be able to do some file processing (batch processing).
- Album layouts and design.
- Basic graphic design for promotional materials.
- Creation of slideshows.
- Client consultations and sales.

Last notes:

Positions are on currently on a contract basis. For the right candidate, hours will increase over time.
Interns will not be responsible for or have access to client files or financial data.

Playful Mercer Island Family Session

We were blessed with beautiful weather for this session which matched the great energy of this family. This family is fun, fashionable, and highly entertaining.

They purchased one of our donated sessions. So not only did we have a great session, but the proceeds benefited the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society for cancer research and patient support. That’s a win-win for sure!

Sunset Camano Island Engagement Session

They teach at the same district and met through friends. They went out for a little while, and she waited for him to make a move. When that finally happened that was it. They were hooked, and the rest is history.

We went out to one of their favorite B&B’s, the Camano Island Inn, to get settled in and then take a sunset walk on the beach.

They were married not long after our session and are now, officially, hubby and wife. Congratulations to the very happy couple!

Gas Works Park is one of Seattle’s most recognizable landmarks. That’s why it was perfect for this family who recently moved here from Kansas. The classic Pacific Northwest weather provided us with some great cloud texture and some puddles to splash in. We had fun running around and getting a little dirty.

They specifically requested highly stylized images and lots of group shots.

Holiday Mini-Sessions November 20th!

This year, send your loved ones stylish, gorgeous you on custom holiday cards. Join us in the studio for your half hour mini session, choose your favorite card design, your best shot(s) from the session, and take care of everyone on your list!

You can also add some fabulous stocking stuffers and other gorgeous gifts for them, with of course, a beautiful updated piece for your own home.

Save by booking one of our pre-designed holiday packages, or customize your own session! There is no minimum order for mini-sessions!

This year’s holiday mini session event will be held on Sunday, November 21st – spaces are limited! Sessions will be held all afternoon in our fabulous studio space in the hip and happenin’ Greenwood neighborhood of Seattle – so no need to worry about our famous rain!

Holiday Cut-Offs and Closures

As we (rapidly) approach the holidays. There are ordering deadlines for our products and services for which I’d like you to keep in mind for your own ordering needs. If you have questions or concerns, please contact the studio prior to placing your order or booking your session.

Frame Orders :: November 21st
Gallery Wraps :: December 2nd
Flushmount Albums :: November 28th
Artbooks :: December 7th
Holiday Cards :: December 10th
New Print Orders :: December 15th

Re-Orders :: Reorders for some items may be possible closer to the holidays. Please contact the studio with specific questions.

Orders placed after these dates which are needed for holiday delivery will be considered rush orders, and will result in additional rush fees for both production and shipping. If your order needs to be shipped, please consider the shipping time in addition to production.

Bubble Gum Seattle Senior Session :: Natalie :: Class of 2012

Natalie came up all the way from Phoenix, AZ for her portrait session, and to revisit her family stomping grounds here in the Pacific Northwest. Pretty sweet! Luckily for us, the weather played nice and we had a great time on the streets of Seattle, and visiting the famous Post Alley with its infamous Gum Wall. It’s gross but glorious!

Natalie’s friend Natalia joined in for some of the shots, and the moms were in tow as well.
